From the Amazing Signs of the Hour

From Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “By Him in whose Hands is my soul! The Hour will not be established until the beasts of prey talk to people. And the tip of a man’s whip and the straps on his sandals speak to him. And his thigh informs him of what his family did after him.”

wonderful and eye opening. jazak Allahu khair. one question, however: the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) spoke of what will take place before the establishment of the Hour (”The Hour will not be established *until . . .”) yet at the end of the noble hadith, he (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said that a man’s thigh will inform him of what his family did *after him, which seems to me to imply after the man has been brought back to life. care to clarify? barak Allahu feek.

Allaahu yubaarik feek. I looked in Tuhfatul-Ahwadhee, the explanation of Sunan al-Tirmidhi where this hadith can be found but nothing was mentioned concerning the part you asked about. And I’m not capable of commenting on it, you’ll have to ask a person of knowledge.
As an additional benefit amongst the ones that were mentioned in the explanation, he said that the part which states, “… until the beasts of prey talk to people …” includes the Muslim and the non-Muslim.

assalamu alaikum,
again jazakaAllahu khayran our brother, for another wonderful post. i heard from one shaykh explaining the man’s thigh speaking to him part, that some ulama said this can also mean the spying devices some men use to spy against their wives and vice versa. but usually, the thaahir meaning is taken from the hadith…do you know if shaykh al Albaani has explained the hadith in any of his books?
