Al-Albaani’s Very High Opinion of Five Scholars
by The Albaani Site
“Al-Albaani used to regard Taqiyud-Deen al-Hilaali as one of the five scholars the likes of whom he had not seen in terms of their knowledge and tahqiq, those five being: Ibn Baaz, Taqiyud-Deen al-Hilaali, Abdur-Rahmaan al-Mubaarakfuri, Badee’ud-Deen as Sindhi and ash-Shanqiti, may Allaah have mercy on them all.”

Question:
Is that
AbdurRahmaan Al Mubaarakfuri (the author of Tuhfatul Ahwadhee, the sharh on Al Jaami’At-Tirmidhee, who passed away in 1925 CE)
Or,
SafeeurRahmaan Al Mubaarakfuri (the author of At-Raheeq al-Makhtoom, who passed away in 2006 CE) ?
The question is due to
the impossibility of Imaam Al Albaanee meeting Imaam AbdurRahmaan Al Mubaarakfuri (because he passed away in India in 1925 CE),
and
the possibility of Ash-Shaykh SafeeurRahmaan Al-Mubaarakfuri meeting Imaaam Al Albaanee (because he was in Madeenah side 1979 CE).
